Alien 1.5 Print

I think I put this in a previous update.

I can set this title up for print, but only on DTRPG, where the product will be private and you could only buy it through a link I share; Lulu, where you set the title up as a personal project and you print a copy for yourself and by just providing you with print ready files to take to a local print shop.

What I cannot do is put the rules on my own store, or on Amazon. Both sites requite the files to be made public, and I am likely to get slapped with a Cease and Desist, or worse.

DTRPG will be the easiest option.

It is very little work for me to do any or all options.

Solo Progress

I had my second vaccination this week and it has left me feeling a little sub-par. It is also hard to solo play when you are not feeling very creative.

I am feeling a bit better now, and I am going to get back to playtesting the Alien rules. I want to have a proper test of Act II and Act III, in cinematic mode, and a non-xeno campaign style adventure.

If these work out, I hope to package these up and get you your books.

Alien RPG 1.5

In the work in progress folder is a new version of Alien 1.5.

What you gain is two or three pages of actual play, using the rules. It features using the word lists for inspiration, the scene set ups, including the stress roll to see if anything odd shows up.

It starts part way through Act II, and goes into Act III.

I do encounter a xenomorph, so I use the random table for the xenomorph, and despite being in a power loader, it did not end well.

I did not include the combat scene as they are pure Alien RPG rules.

I think these rules work, I am quite happy to tidy up the first page and give credit to the Alien RPG team, and then put these to bed.

Unless you think different.

Early Access Coriolis Solo Rules [Zenith Solo]

In the early access folder, you will find a subfolder for Coriolis Solo. This is going to be my product release for Monday.

Coriolis is another Year Zero Engine game but doesn’t have the boons and banes of Forbidden Lands or the Stress dice of Alien.

I have re-used the basic Mutant Year Zero yes-no oracle, and repurposed the word list oracles that I created for Alien, but themed from the Coriolis Core Rules.

This repurposing is a two-way street and although the Coriolis solo rules are a bit simpler than the Alien rules are going to be, writing them up did give me a good idea or two to incorporate into the text of the Alien solo book.

You get this book today, it will be released tomorrow evening in the Free League Workshop.
