Some of the production standards in Actual Play videos and live streams are exceptionally high. Some of these players are professional actors or have theatrical improv. training. They also have the benefit of being able to take as long as they like to resolve a question and brainstorm great interpretations and then edit out any false starts or long delays while they deliberate.
I have yet to find out how to edit stuff out of my leisure time and letting me have the time back. I have to put up with what I roll and when I lack inspiration, tough, I have to suck it up.
Judging yourself against these professionals presenting their polished and edited best is setting yourself a massive benchmark to reach.
If you are enjoying your solo playing, then you are doing it right and that is all that matters.
