To put it bluntly, not much happens in these three scenes. The adventure Night Blade tells me nothing about Whitesparrow except for there is a tower above the village called the Lonely Torch, and that it has a sheriff called Ruth Willowmane. That is not a lot to go on.
Everything that I know about the village is going to be spontaneously generated as needed.
I am using the Fantasy Name Generator and I have set it to British English names. I like this generator for two reasons. The first is that I can be pretty confident that I will be able to pronounce the randomly generated names if they are in British English, the second reason is that I like the generators that have the ‘neutral names’ option. If I only have a name, it is not committing me to either male or female, until I have a better idea of who the NPC is.
I have created two NPCs, both of which may well end up as recurring NPCs. Cooper Renolds the innkeeper. I like that name as a cooper is a person who makes barrels so it felt on point. The second was the village healer, Maddox barker. I am portraying her as a non-magical healer, maybe some herbal remedies and first aid skills. It is possible that there is more to her than meets the eye, but we shall see.
