To follow up on this video, I have my own OGL 0D&D game which is derived from Swords & Wizardry. It goes by the killer name of Brave Adventurers & Roguish Fools. It is all written and most of it has been laid out. It was going to be released for the GM’s Day Sale, but that was cancelled. That took all the priority out of the project and so it has been languishing on my PC ever since.
I have half a mind to re-lay it out as an statement sized pocket game. That would require a week of laying out the game again, which is not really a problem, but it could make the tables rather awkward to use, and making a game that is physically harder to use, for no gain, does not make sense.
I can bring BARF up to scratch fairly quickly, if I can find the time.
The point of this is that I can do everything I have described here and share the numbers with you, to prove it works. In a kind of Money Where My Mouth Is, but when there is no real money to risk.
I will find my copy of BARF and see what state it is really in. It is a long time since I looked at it.
