I had my 81-year-old mother staying with me last week, so nothing got done, but I am back at it now.
The task that has been occupying my development time is making lists. I am not a good list maker, I find them tiresome to create, and I want several to build out an oracle that I can customise to different situations.
The typical two random words Muses are entirely generic and you have to take the context from the question, the scene, and the story so far, but they are still quite demanding, creatively speaking.
A select the columns style Muse I find to be less of a burden because you can still take context from the scene, story and question, but you can also apply your own assumptions into the Muse by considering what columns to roll against.
You can also choose whether you want to have two words, three, four or however many columns you have, and then decide do you use them all? Use two words? Roll for three and keep the best two? There are a ton of different ways you can use the results when you have many columns to roll against.
But each one takes time to build out.
At the same time, I am writing an adventure for Cepheus System for my sci-fi patreons, I am trying to do a bit of coding in my spare time make managing my catalogue of books easier to maintain and eventually easier to get listed on all the different storefronts. I also have a project that I would have a crack at in the autumn.
Bundle Of Many Things
There are bits I like about Bundle of Holding, and there are things l like about Humble Bundle, but neither site is perfect. There is a danger with websites in that it only takes a second to buy a domain name. So, I impulsive bought bundleofmanythings.com now all I have to do is build a website and see if it is really as easy as I imagine it will be to run one of these bundle sites.
I already know the answer will be, no it isn’t, but where would the fun be in just assuming that?
I will post more about bundleofmanythings later. I am not even going to touch it until we are into September. Between now and then, I have too much to try and finish off, too many people coming to stay over the summer, and so on. But you wouldn’t want me to get bored, would you?
So, for now, it is back to making Arkadian themed lists.
