How to solo roleplay using Fantasy Grounds

Question: How to solo roleplay using Fantasy Grounds? Answer: Use a solo roleplaying Fantasy Ground mod! OK, so that is not so helpful. This video explains how you can use a FG mod to provide the oracle question and answer mechanics in 5e.

So, this is the video that I mentioned yesterday, that became ‘infected’ by my WWII Operation Whitebox mentality. I hope you can still get the gist of how I am using the chat window as my journal. It was not my intention to start playing this character, but as soon as a I see a character and a new world to explore, I cannot help myself.

It is also Sod’s Law, that when I am hoping to demonstrate how something works, I cannot for, for love nor money, get the dice to play nice for the camera. What is the saying? Never work with children, animals or open dice rolls?

The Fantasy Grounds module used in this video is available from DMs Guild, here.

Chatlog Journal

I have repeatedly mentioned using the chatlog as a solo journal.

You can find the chatlog in the Fantasy Grounds/Campaigns folder on your machine. It is called Chatlog.html and you can open it in any browser or HTML/Text editor.

The chatlog for the play in the video looks like this.
