This campaign setting was built with players familiar with D&D in mind. D&D, in all its incarnations, is well known for its rich variety of threats and monsters in its adventures. The same is true of the traditional Greek myths with a different monster or demigod on every island.
The big difference between D&D and ZWEIHÄNDER is that D&D players are used to being the world saving heroes. ZWEIHÄNDER characters are not the heroes that save the world, they are the heroes that make a difference one small tragedy at a time.
Jason and the Argonauts is a well trodden path but in this version there is no Jason. The characters, the crew of the Argo, will have to get by as best they can without their hero. The
Events of the quest for the Golden Fleece take place immediately before the Trojan war. After your players have completed this quest you can launch them directly into the war and use that as the backdrop to your own ZWEIHÄNDER campaign.
